Raw Science Film Festival is Open for Entry!

Celebrate filmmakers inspired by science

Do you have a groungbreaking work of staggering genius? Enter the second annual Raw Science Film Festival. Categories include fiction and non-fiction for both students and professionals. Cash prizes are awarded. Animations and infographics are welcomed.

The film screening and awards ceremony takes place on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in Google’s Silicon Beach. The theme of this year’s Awards Ceremony is VIRTUAL REALITY.

In addition to prizes for entrants to the festival, awards will be given for theatrically released films including Best Documentary, Best Science Fiction, and Technical Innovation in Media.

The “Kip Thorne Gravity Award” will be given to a theatrically released film for Best Depiction of a Scientific Principle in Film. Kip Thorne won in 2014 for the depiction of gravity in “Interstellar.”
