Wow, that thing is seriously frightening looking. It’s like the first generation Terminator, the exoskeleton without the cyborg skin. Please keep that thing on a leash!!
What’s with all the hatin on the MIT (DARPA?) Terminators – let’s perfect them and then untether them into Afghanistan and see how long the Taliban lasts.
Ditto for Iraq – instead of a stay-behind force of 10k US soldiers or so, just untether about 1,000 Terminators in and around the Green Zone and bye-bye ISIS!
You think it’s just coincidence that MIT is only located about 14 miles from the US Army Natick Soldier Systems Center (basically, a mini-DARPA specifically for creating future super soldier systems)??
Those “Terminators” look kinda like those alien robots from that horrible Universal movie “Battleship” that came out a couple years ago, starring Liam Neeson, Rihanna and Taylor Kitsch.

Memo to MIT: Please DO NOT untether that thing!!
Please tell me if it goes “automous” with nefarious intent that it can be disabled by an EMP blast or something?
Other than destroying people and property, what else is it going to be used for?
Is this secretly some kind of “super-soldier” project being funded by DARPA?
Technology is getting really scary these days. The sight of that thing is enough to frighten little kids…and adults!
What is it that they plan on using it for? Other than taking 2 minutes to pick up a 2×4 in its way. And frightening the bejeezus out of people…
Is there an emergency shut-off switch on this thing? You know, just in case
Perhaps it could be used as a rescue machine by the fire dept or other rescue crews, sort of like the “jaws-of-life”?
How much money has this cost so far in R&D and implementation?
“Everyone’s favorite terrifying humanoid” – ain’t that the truth. Well, one could replace “humanoid” with “Terminator”
How much does this terrifying monstrosity weigh?
What is the strength capacity of this thing? How much weight will this thing be able to lift or manipulate?
Maybe I missed it but have they given it a “pet name” yet? I mean, other than “Terminator” or “Robocop”?
What kind of carbon footprint is this thing going to leave?

It’s our enemies that should be frightened of them, not us…
MIT – “Making Indomitable Terminators”
You think it’s just coincidence that MIT is only located about 14 miles from the US Army Natick Soldier Systems Center (basically, a mini-DARPA specifically for creating future super soldier systems)??

Ya, and to think Peter Berg directed that, the same guy that did “Lone Survivor” and “Friday Night Lights”
By the way, I think the robot’s name is “Atlas,” not “Terminator”
Atlas is only the prototype name – it will officially be Terminator very soon.
Has no one wondered whether Atlas/Terminator is actually male or female?
Probably Androgynous
Look at that thing – that could be the next coolest action figure toy on the market!
Seriously, forget the Transformer toys. Atlas kicks Atlass!
There could be Atlas/Terminator dueling contests, like the old school Mattel ‘Rock’em Sock’em’ Robots!
Of course, toys aside, we could still use them to kill the bad guys
They could be modified to function in zero atmospheres too, to staff and repair satellites. And also kill space aliens as necessary.
